Before treatment:
The child was a full-term natural born baby and her visual impairment was found after birth. She was diagnosed as having "retinal detachment" after treatment in the local hospital. Surgical treatment of retinal detachment was performed in the right eye at 10 months but the operation failed. At present, the vision of the child's left eye can distinguish brightly colored objects, there is light perception, the right eye has closure disorder and only a weak sense of light.
The child has been in good spirits and has language retardation, she can only call "Mom and Dad". She cannot turn over, cannot maintain a single sitting position and the right arm has throwing-like movements. She has poor appetite, is eating less, sleep is basically normal, urination is normal and she often has constipation.

Admission PE:
Pulse rate: 110/min, body temperature: 36.0 degrees, breathing rate: 23/min, height: 71cm; weight: 6kg, blood pressure: 90/50mmHg. The patient had slow  physical development, poor nutrition, no bleeding spots or yellow stains across the skin and mucosa and a symmetrical chest. She has clear respiratory sounds of both lungs, no dry or moist rales heard, strong heart sounds, regular heart rhythm, no obvious murmur heard of various valves, a flat and soft abdomen, no masses, normal liver and spleen.

Nervous System Examination:
Patient was alert, had clear speech, she could not complete the memory, calculation and orientation tests. We were unable to check her pupils and intraocular pressure, she is able to discern bright colored objects with the left eye with light perception, has closing disturbance with the right eye and we were unable to check her fundus. She has a symmetrical forehead wrinkle and nasolabial fold, symmetrical teeth-showing, tongue in a middle line when extended and free neck movement. There was normal muscle tone of the 4 limbs, grade 5 muscle power of the 4 limbs, no physiological reflex induced, negative sucking reflex, negative palm-jaw reflex bilaterally, negative Hoffmann, Rossolimo sign and Babinski signs bilaterally. She had normal deep and shallow sensation, unable to check her coordination and a negative meningeal irritation sign.

Treatment:
After the admission she received 3 nerve regeneration treatments (neural stem cells and mesenchymal stem cells) to repair her damaged optic nerves and retinal cells, replace dead nerves and cells, nourish nerves and retinal cells, , improve body environment, regulate her immune system and improve blood circulation. This was combined with rehabilitation training.   

Post-treatment:
After 14 days treatment she reacted more sensitively to light, she could distinguish objects at a short distance and she tried to grab things. Her right eye could open partially, she had better motor function, involuntary movement of the right arm decreased and more autonomic movement such as body-turning over got better than before. She had a better sitting ability, better eating condition and her defecation functions got more regular.

After 5 months she has begun to distinguish strong colors from long distances. She began to crawl and lifted her head more. We are very happy, we are very satisfied with the treatment!
